Why is my employer providing these services?
There are two reasons why your employer extends these services
to you and yours. The first is simple. It just a nice thing
to do! They recognize that all of us have problems big and
small that can effect us personally and at work. They appreciate
the fact that employees, who feel as though their employer
is looking out for them and invests in this concept, are apt
to feel differently about the company. The second reason is
that it's good for business employee turnover, stress and
issues of productivity can be addressed by having a professional
resource available to all concerned.
Why is the Employee Assistance Program a service rather
than a benefit?
The Employee Development Center is not part of an insurance
company or managed care effort. Nor do we offer a conventional
benefit. Instead we provide services to working people and
their employers designed to maximize well being and productivity.
We pride ourselves on immediate response, flexibility and
anticipating the needs of working people.
Who will I be speaking to or meeting with?
