Childcare/Eldercare
Building upon years of experience in meeting the child and elder care needs of working people, Life Points was developed. This program provides a series of intensive seminars pertaining to planning for the care of a child or managing the needs of an elderly parent, or oneself. The Employee Development Center has amassed a data base and resource bank that allows us to meet the needs of individuals in need of consultation. Services include working along with clients in order to build confidence in such areas as judging quality, safety, legal, medical, social and interpersonal issues.


Employee Relations
The Employee Development Center works with client organizations to promote a positive and productive work place where employees feel that there is support available for them and that they are recognized as individuals. EDC, through the implementation of its comprehensive employee assistance programming, and related consultation, promotes communication and trust. The Employee Development Center enjoys an excellent reputation as a Center focused on care and promoting a human yet business-like working environment.


Management Training
These well-received seminars are practical and down to earth and have been fashioned from our collective experience in assisting managers and organizations. New and veteran managers benefit form the opportunity of reflecting on their roles and reviewing the practical means by which they may avoid, or resolve, performance problems, which occur in their employees. Highly trained managers ensure that your company will remain competitive. Managers are recognized as key players in the corporate culture, and are given the opportunity of exploring the complex interpersonal and business issues that arise when working with employees.


Organizational Development
The Employee Development Center has been instrumental in helping organizations manage change at every level. Whether the change has to do with downsizing, mergers and acquisitions or new management practices, issues such as how to perform meaningful performance appraisals and developing the skills of employees are two additional examples of work we have done.


Policy Consultation
Policy and consultation work addressing human resource related issues that include The Americans with Disabilities Act, The Drug Free Workplace Act, disability management, and critical incident stress debriefing are provided. Corporations look to EDC for guidance when developing human resources and benefits policies, which affect the entire organization.
